The Command Prompt is a text-based interface that allows users to interact with their operating system. Originally developed for MS-DOS, it has evolved into a versatile tool that is available on Windows, macOS, and Linux. When we say text-based, we really do mean text based! Computing has come a long way since the early days, if you were born from about 2000 onwards you&#8217;re probably only aware of software with a graphical user interfaces (GUI&#8217;s), which is a
